Needle Felting Experiments – May 2013 and April 2014

DSC_0026 A strange satisfaction can be had from repeatedly stabbing a small flat piece of fleece, slowly moulding and transforming it into something else – in this case a small ball. Now covered in a bottle green merino with a creamy stripe I reckon I need maybe 9 or 10 more to make a bracelet…

And so almost a year later… the tiny ball I made when I first started needle felting is now part of a chunky felt bead bracelet. 11 fuzzy beads in Moorland shades, very tactile and beautiful. Inspired by my Fox and Magpie Quirky Craft course – I’m loving needle felting now!
